SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Highlighted by 10 home matches, Cal Poly men's tennis released its 2025 spring schedule Tuesday.
The 21-match schedule features 15 non-conference matches and six conference matches. It also sees the Mustangs face four teams who qualified for last season’s NCAA Team Tournament in Sacramento State, Denver, Boise State, and UC Irvine.
Cal Poly will open the 2025 season at home Jan. 25 hosting Sacramento State at Ronca Tennis Center. It will be the first match since the opening of the Comerford Pavilion and installation of new lighting and court resurfacing, making the Ronca Tennis Center one of the premier college tennis venues in the country.

The Mustangs will play three of their first five matches at home as Santa Clara and Gonzaga will also come to San Luis Obispo at the beginning of the season. From there, they will go on the road to face LMU and Utah before coming back to Ronca Tennis Center to go against BYU and Idaho.
Cal Poly’s first match of Big West play will take place on the road at UC San Diego on March 2. They then return home for three straight matches, hosting Creighton, Boise State, and Hawai’i.
Two non-conference matches away from San Luis Obispo close the month of March. The Mustangs will then play their final two home matches of the season April 6 & 8 against UC Irvine and UC Riverside. The final three regular season matches will see the Mustangs go on the road to face Pacific, UC Davis, and rival UCSB.
The Big West Championships will take place April 24-27 at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego.
Cal Poly has finished in the top three of the Big West standings in four of the last five seasons under 14th year head coach Nick Carless. They return three players who earned All-Big West honors from last year’s 10 win team: Bastiaan Westsrate, Raz Haviv, and Sean Kamyshev. They have added four newcomers this year, three freshmen and one transfer from Boise State.
