SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — The Cal Poly women’s tennis team, which captured its second Big West title in program history and first since 2003 this past season, recently signed three student-athletes to National Letters of Intent.
The Mustangs’ 2025-26 signing class is made up of three talented prospects — Aspen Chung (Tustin, Calif.), Tia Bonita Jakupovic-Kljako (London, England) and Olivia Mlouk (Long Beach, Calif.).
Third-year head coach Ellie Edles Williams said she is extremely excited to see the impact these new Mustangs have on the women’s tennis program when they join the team next fall.
Aspen Chung
Tustin, CA
Chung is a five-star prospect and is currently ranked 41st nationally in the class of 2025, according to TennisRecruiting.net. An honors student, Chung attends Laurel Springs Academy in Ojai, Calif. online.
Chung won the ITF singles titles at the J60 Guatemala and J60 Kingston tournaments, and she is an accomplished piano player.
Thoughts from Coach Williams: “Aspen has shown tremendous success in her junior career, and she will be a huge asset for us both in singles and doubles. She is a hard worker and great student, and we are so excited to welcome Aspen to the Mustang family.”

Tia Bonita Jakupovic-Kljako
London, England
A London native, Jakupovic-Kljako has had a decorated junior career, winning countless tournaments. Jakupovic-Kljako won the 2023 Aberdare Cup while playing for Queenswood School (Hertfordshire, England).
The 2023 LTA British Tour G1 and 2024 LTA British Tour G2 singles champion owns an ITF junior ranking of 685. At the ITF J30 tournament in 2023, Jakupovic-Kljako claimed the singles title and was runner-up in doubles. She won an ITF J60 doubles championship in January.
Thoughts from Coach Williams: “Tia has had a very successful junior career and has also shown she is a resilient and hard-working athlete. Tia has a powerful game that will make a big impact for us in both singles and doubles. We are so excited to welcome Tia to the Mustang family.”
Olivia Mlouk
Long Beach, CA
A four-star prospect, Mlouk has received All-Trinity League honors multiple times while playing for Mater Dei High (Santa Ana, Calif.), earning First Team praise in doubles as a senior this season and Second Team selections in both singles and doubles in previous years.
The 2023 Coaches Award recipient helped Mater Dei capture the CIF State title last year and has not lost a regular season match in singles or doubles during her career as a Monarch. Mlouk was named team MVP in doubles as a freshman and has maintained a GPA of 4.0 or higher throughout her high school career. When Mlouk joins the Mustangs in 2025-26, she will be reunited with former Mater Dei High teammate and current Mustang Natalie Lynch.
Thoughts from Coach Williams: “Olivia brings phenomenal energy and already has so much Cal Poly pride. She has a great doubles game and is an all-around great team player. We are so excited to welcome Olivia to the Mustang family.”
