
Jensen 11th, Cal Poly Fifth After First Day of Ptarmigan Ram Classic

FIRST-DAY RESULTS
FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Four Cal Poly women's golfers are in the top 30 to put the Mustangs in fifth place as a team after the first day of the Ptarmigan Ram Classic Ptarmigan Country Club in Fort Collins, Colo. Monday.
Redshirt junior Jensen Jalufka shot rounds of 72 and 68 to sit at four under after 36 holes. She tied for having the third-most pars of any player through the first two rounds with 26 of them. She was also tied for second in par-3 scoring at two under.
Junior Kamille Dimayuga sits tied for 24th at one over par after rounds of 74 and 71 Monday. Senior Carissa Wu is tied for 26th at two over after shooting 70 and 76 while senior Nicole Neale is tied for 29th at three over after rounds of 78 and 69.
The Mustangs head into the final round Tuesday in fifth out of 11 teams at four under par. There are three other Big West teams competing in the event: Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State, and Hawai'i. The Titans are the only team ahead of Cal Poly after day one, holding a one-shot lead over the Mustangs.
Host institution Colorado State currently leads the field at 41 under par with Colorado second at 22 under par.
Final round action gets underway at 8 a.m. PT Tuesday.
