Jalufka in Top 20 After First Day of Leadership and Golf Invitational

FIRST-DAY RESULTS
UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. — Cal Poly redshirt junior Jensen Jalufka (above) will head into Tuesday's final round of the season-opening Leadership & Golf Invitational in the top 20 following 36-holes of play Monday.
Jalufka is one over after she carded rounds of 73 and 72 on the Par-72 Chambers Bay Golf Course, the site of the 2015 PGA U.S. Open. She is tied for 19th place with two other golfers.
Senior Nicole Neale is tied for 41st at six over with 11 others after shooting a morning round of 74 and an afternoon round of 76. Junior Kamille Dimayuga is right behind at seven over and is tied for 53rd after rounds of 76 and 75.
Cal Poly is 11th among 19 teams competing in the two-day 54-hole event with four-person totals of 299 in each of the first two rounds and are 22 over. The final 18 holes will be played Tuesday.
USC currently holds the lead at 15 under par, seven strokes ahead of second-place Minnesota.
Individually, Hailey Loh of Minnesota is in first place at seven under following rounds of 70 and 67. She holds a three-shot lead over several others tied for second.
