FINAL RESULTS
DALLAS, Texas -- A final-round 72 by Kamille Dimayuga resulted in her fourth top-25 finish of the season as Cal Poly finished in 11th place at the Trinity Forest Invitational hosted by SMU on Tuesday.
Playing at the 6,464-yard, par-72 Trinity Forest Golf Club, Dimayuga carded two birdies and a pair of bogeys for her par round which followed a 71 and 72 on Monday. She finished with a one-under-par 215 total for 54 holes, one off her career best and a tie for 20th place with three other golfers.
Vanessa Wang posted a final-round 74 while Jensen Jalufka and Nicole Neale notched 75s and Carissa Wu checked in with a 76. Jalufka finished 40th with a 220 total while Neale claimed 47th place at 222 and Wang 56th place at 226. Wu was 66th with a 228 total.
As a team, Cal Poly carded a 291 and 292 on Monday and a 296 on Tuesday for a 15-over-par 879 aggregate. SMU claimed the team title with a 24-under-par 840 followed by Houston at 845 and South Florida at 852. There were 15 teams in the two-day 54-hole tournament.
Individual champion was Camryn Carreon of Texas-San Antonio with rounds of 68, 69 and 65 for a 14-under-par 202 total and a one-shot margin of victory over Carla Bernat of Tulane (70-67-66). Ellie Szeryk of SMU was third at 205 (70-70-65).
Jalufka was ninth in par-4 scoring at even par and Dimayuga finished second with her 41 pars.
The start of the final round was delayed two hours by fog.
Cal Poly returns to action March 27-29 at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic hosted by Hawai'i at the Royal Ka'anapali Golf Course on Maui.
