Cal Poly Ninth After Two Rounds of Play at Trinity Forest Invitational

FIRST-DAY RESULTS
DALLAS, Texas -- Three Cal Poly golfers will enter the final round of the Trinity Forest Invitational hosted by SMU in the top 40 on the individual leaderboard.
Kamille Dimayuga carded rounds of 71 and 72 at the 6,464-yard, par-72 Trinity Forest Golf Club on Monday and is tied for 14th place with her one-under-par 143 total. Dimayuga notched two birdies and one bogey in her first round and three birdies and a trio of bogeys in the afternoon.
Jensen Jalufka recorded a 70 and 75 for a 145 total and 26th-place tie while Nicole Neale posted a 78 and 69 for a 147 total and 36th-place tie. Neale's 69, her fourth as a Mustang, matching her career best, featured five birdies and a pair of bogeys.
Carissa Wu and Vanessa Wang are both tied for 63rd place with 152 totals. Wu posted a pair of 76s while Wang checked in with a 74 and 78.
As a team, Cal Poly is in ninth place with 18 holes to play Tuesday morning. Coach Courtney Roberts' Mustangs posted a four-person 291 total in the morning and a 292 in the second round.
Host SMU leads with a 12-under-par 564 total, followed by Houston (571) and, tied for third, South Florida and Incarnate Word (574). There are 15 teams in the two-day 54-hole tournament.
Tied for first place entering the final round are Camryn Carreon (68-69) of Texas-San Antonio and Carla Bernat (70-67) of Tulane with seven-under-par 137 aggregates, two strokes ahead of Houston's Moa Svedenskiold.
Dimayuga and Jalufka are tied for seventh in par-4 scoring at one under par. Dimayuga also is tied for third in total pars with 27.
