SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — A pair of Cal Poly divers are preparing to compete in the 2023 NCAA Zone E Diving Championships at the Weyerhauser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Washington.
Senior Max Powell and freshman Lyndon Kov (pictured above) will represent the Mustangs at the Zone E Diving Championships. Powell and Kov are both set to take part in the men's 1-meter dive Monday to open the three-day meet, while Powell will also compete in the 3-meter dive Tuesday. Prelims start at 11:30 a.m. each day.
Both divers qualified for the Zone E Diving Championships back in October.
Powell is the school record holder in the men's 1-meter and 3-meter dives, while Kov owns the fourth-best mark in program history in the 1-meter.
Results at the five Zone Diving Championships across the country will determine who qualifies for the NCAA Finals.
