Cal Poly Climbs into 10th-Place Tie in Tulane Classic After 36 Holes

SECOND-ROUND RESULTS
NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Shaving 15 points off its first-round score, the Cal Poly women's golf team climbed three spots on the leaderboard during the second round of play at the Tulane Classic Presented by Chad Brownstein on Monday.
The Mustangs' 317 aggregate in Sunday's first round was lowered to a 14-over-par 302 Monday for a 619 total and a 10th-place tie with Boston College entering Tuesday's final round of play on the 6,268-yard par-72 English Turn Golf and Country Club course.
Leading the way for Coach Courtney Roberts' Mustangs were Vanessa Wang with a 74 and Carissa Wu following her round of 75.
Wang carded two birdies and a pair of bogeys for her two-over-par round, climbing from 47th place into a tie for 31st place with a 154 total. Wu checked in with five birdies, two bogeys and three double-bogeys, jumping nine spots to a 38th-place tie at 155.
Nicole Neale, who was tied for sixth place after her opening-round 75, added a 76 Monday for a 151 total and a tie for 16th place with 18 holes to play.
Rounding out Cal Poly's scoring were Kamille Dimayuga and Jensen Jalufka, both with 77s for a 159 aggregate and a tie for 59th place.
Individual leader after 36 holes is Kera Healey of Chattanooga, who followed her 72 with a 69 for a three-under-par 141 total, two strokes better that Purdue's Ashley Kozlowski (71-72--143). Danielle DuToit of Purdue is third at 145 after a second-round 69.
Purdue leads the team standings by 16 shots after a four-person 285 total for a seven-over-par 584 aggregate. Tulane is second at 600 and Incarnate Word sits in third place with a 604 total. There are 18 teams competing in the tournament opening the spring season.
Neale is third in par-4 scoring at two over par while Wu is ninth in par-3 scoring at one under par.
