SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — The Cal Poly swimming and diving program caps off a three-week stretch of hosting meets to open the 2023-24 season when the Mustangs welcome Blue-Green rival UC Santa Barbara to the Anderson Aquatic Center on Friday for a 6 p.m. dual.
During the dual, Cal Poly will wear purple and white swim caps in honor of Dating Violence Action Month (DVAM). Hosted annually by Campus Health and Wellbeing's Safer program, DVAM is a month-long campaign aimed at providing learning opportunities and spreading awareness about dating violence within communities.

The Mustangs are fresh off hosting a relay meet against San Diego State and Fresno Pacific and a dual against the Aztec women. The Mustangs also won the 200-yard freestyle relay in the meet.
In the relay meet with Fresno Pacific, the men won 11 of the 12 events as seniors Sean Keegan and Ryan Trichler, sophomores Drew Huston and Finn Schlamp and freshman Luke Reyes all had standout performances in the pool. Cal Poly swept the diving events thanks to freshmen Madden Saini (3-meter) and Justin Dolezal (1-meter) as the men cruised to a 148-58 victory over the Sunbirds. The women also dominated Fresno Pacific, rolling to a 165-29 win.
Following Friday's dual with the Gauchos, Cal Poly hits the road for the first time this season when they travel to Bakersfield for the CSUB Sprint Classic and Roadrunner Invitational on Oct. 13-14.
