Dimayuga Cards 67, Cal Poly Third After 36 Holes of Ram Classic

FIRST-DAY RESULTS
FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- Four Cal Poly golfers finished the first two rounds of play in the top 20 at the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic on Monday at the Ptarmigan Country Club.
Kamille Dimayuga and Jensen Jalufka are tied for eighth place with three-under-par 141 totals on the 6,468-yard, par-72 course. Nicole Neale is tied for 14th place and Vanessa Wang is in a tie for 17th place entering Tuesday's final round.
As a team, first-year head coach Courtney Roberts' Mustangs are third in the field of 11 teams with a four-person eight-under-par 568 aggregate following a 286 in the morning round and 282 in the afternoon.
Dimayuga followed her first round of 74 with a blistering 67 in the second round, a career best by three strokes and just two shots shy of the school record. She carded eight birdies and three bogeys in the afternoon round.
Jalufka carded a 69 in the morning, matching her career-best round as a Mustang, and a 72 in the afternoon. She posted four birdies and one bogey in the first round while her second round featured an eagle-3 on the 527-yard 16th hole as well as one birdie and three bogeys.
Neale posted a 73 and 70 for a 143 total, including a eagle of her own on the same hole as Jalufka's eagle in the second round, while Wang recorded a 71 and 73 for an even-par-144 total.
Competing as an individual, Siri Jansson carded a 76 and 74 for a 150 total and 38th place.
Individual leader after 36 holes is Victoria Gailey of Nevada with rounds of 65 and 68 for an 11-under-par 133, four shots ahead of Ryan Flynn of Grand Canyon. Raesa Sheikh of Nevada and Sofia Torres of Colorado State share third place at five under par.
Nevada takes a nine-shot lead, 558-567, over Colorado State into the final round. Cal Poly is another shot back in third.
Dimayuga leads the entire field in par-3 scoring at three under par while Jalufka is tied for fourth at one under par. Wang is seventh in par-4 scoring at even par while Neale is No. 1 in par-5 scoring at six under par.
Dimayuga and Gailey share the lead with 12 birdies each and Jalufka is tied for fourth place with 26 pars.
