Berry Earns First Big West Men's Tennis Player of the Week Award

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – After taking down the 20th ranked singles player in the country and helping Cal Poly defeat No. 75 Hawai'i, sophomore Noah Berry has been named The Big West Men's Tennis Player of the Week.
This is Berry's first weekly award of his career and Cal Poly's first Big West Men's Tennis Athlete Award this year.
Last week, Noah defeated the 20th ranked men's singles player in the NCAA in Andre Ilagan to lead the Mustangs to a 4-3 win over the No. 75 Rainbow Warriors. He and redshirt sophomore Fernando Fonseca were also victorious at the No. 3 doubles spot.
At No. 1 singles, Berry is a team-leading 9-4 and 2-1 against nationally ranked opponents.
In doubles, Berry and Fonseca are 8-2 together this season are on a six-match winning streak.
The Mustangs are on the road Sunday, April 3 at UC Irvine at 1 p.m. and Monday, April 4 against UC Riverside at 11 a.m.
