Boyal Signs with USL League One’s Central Valley Fuego

SAN LUIS OBISPO – Midfielder and 2021 All-Big West Conference second team selection Neil Boyal became the most recent Cal Poly men's soccer standout to sign professionally as the Olympia, Wash., native joined Central Valley Fuego FC (USL League One) ahead of the club's inaugural 2022 season.
Boyal, who transferred to Cal Poly in 2020 from Louisville, started 16 of 17 matches during his lone season with the Mustangs last fall and finished sixth among Big West players with a team leading five assists while averaging 92.8 minutes per appearance.
Prior to his time at Cal Poly, Boyal competed for Louisville (2019) and Drexel (2017-18).
Competing in the 11-team, third-tier USL League One, CV Fuego plays the club's first match at Greenville Triumph SC on Saturday, April 2.
