Bullis Earns Third Big West Setter of the Week Honors

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — After helping lead a balanced offensive attack and nearly recording double-doubles in both matches last week, Cal Poly redshirt freshman Emme Bullis has been named the Big West Setter of the Week.
In the Mustangs' two matches against Cal State Fullerton and Long Beach State, Bullis averaged 9.88 assists per set and 2.88 digs per set. She also had two aces and four blocks.
In a 3-0 sweep over the Titans, she finished with 32 assists, eight digs, and two aces. She also spread the offense around as five players posted at least five kills as the Mustangs hit .232 as a team.
In a close five-set loss to Long Beach State, Bullis recorded her 11th double-double of the season with 47 assists, a career-high 15 digs, and four blocks. She once again spread the offense around as four players had double digit kills.
This is the third time she's been named Big West Setter of the Week this season.
Bullis is now averaging 9.65 assists per set on the season which ranks third in the Big West. She's also third on the team in digs and 20th in the Big West at 2.49 per set.
After playing its last four matches on the road, the Mustangs return to Mott Athletics Center this week to host CSUN Friday and UCSB Saturday. Both matches start at 7 p.m. Cal Poly is currently tied for third in the Big West standings, one game behind UCSB and two behind Hawai'i.
