Cal Poly in Second Place Late in Second Round of Charlotte Invite

CONCORD, N.C. -- With one group on its final hole of the day, play was suspended in the second round of the Charlotte Invitational on Monday with Cal Poly in second place, four shots behind team leader Xavier.
Coach Courtney Roberts' Mustangs posted four-person totals of 295 in the morning and 304 in the afternoon for a 23-over-par 599 aggregate. Xavier carded a 301 and 294 for a 19-over-par 595 total.
Cal Poly has three players in the top 15 entering Tuesday's final round.
Kamille Dimayuga (74-73) and Jensen Jalufka (72-75) share eighth place with Oda Sofie Kilsti of East Carolina, all with three-over-par 147 totals on the 6,381-yard par-72 Cabarrus Country Club course.
Nicole Neale is in 15th place alone with rounds of 73 and 78 for a 151 total.
Vanessa Wang and Carissa Wu are tied for 36th place with six other golfers, all with 157 totals. Wang posted a 79 and 78 while Wu checked in with a 76 and 81.
Kara Carter of Xavier holds a one-shot lead over six golfers after recording a 72 and 73 for a one-over-par 145 total.
