
Cal Poly Men’s Tennis Adds Recruit From Netherlands To 2021-22 Roster

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — The Cal Poly men's tennis program and athletic department announced that Bastiaan Weststrate, a high school senior from the Netherlands has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his tennis and academic career at Cal Poly beginning in the fall of 2021.
Weststrate, who is a native of The Hague, Netherlands, is a three-time Dutch national champion in his age group. He has won six ITF juniors doubles titles and has been first runner-up in singles.
Weststrate has also represented The Netherlands at the European Championships in both singles and doubles.
He is the second player Cal Poly has announced will be joining the program next fall. In November, it was announced that current Belmont University senior Hendrik Inno will join the program next fall as a graduate transfer.
