
Cal Poly Women's Tennis Falls to San Diego State on the Road

SAN DIEGO — Senior Molly Reed won her second straight singles match at the No. 3 spot but it was not enough as the Cal Poly women's tennis team fell on the road to San Diego State 5-2 Saturday.
Reed defeated the Aztecs' Paola Diaz 6-0, 6-1 to improve her singles record to 4-2 on the season (3-2 at the No. 3 spot and 1-0 at the No. 4 spot).
The other singles win for the Mustangs came at the No. 6 spot from junior Celine Gruaz. She blanked SDSU's Mia Smith 6-0, 6-0 for her second win of the season.
Sophomore Seriana Saltzen lost a back-and-forth match at the No. 2 spot, losing 6-4, 7-5 to Magda Aubets.
The Aztecs won each of the three doubles matches.
Cal Poly fell to 2-4 overall on the season. San Diego State improved to 6-4.
The Mustangs stay to take on San Diego Sunday at 10 a.m.
