Men's Tennis to Host UC Irvine and UC Riverside in Big West Matches

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The Cal Poly men's tennis team will host UC Irvine and UC Riverside in Big West Conference matches this week. On Friday, April 5, Cal Poly will host UCR at the Mustang Courts at 1 pm while the match with UC Riverside, Sunday April 7, will be played at the San Luis Obispo Country Club with first serve set for 11 am.
The Mustangs enter this week's play with an 8-7 overall record and will be playing their first conference match of the season when they take on UC Irvine. The Anteaters enter the match with a 3-15 overall record and 0-1 mark in conference matches.
Sunday's match at the country club will feature UC Riverside with a 2-15 overall record and a 0-1 mark in conference matches.
Senior Andre Dome enters the match 13-2 in dual matches, all on the first court while junior Marco Comuzzo has stepped up at the second position with a 6-4 record. Overall Comuzzo is 10-5 in dual matches. Freshman Derek Klein is 2-1 on the third court and 7-5 overall.
