
Mustangs Look to Lockup No. 1 Seed this Weekend

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The Cal Poly men's tennis team, 11-7 overall and 3-0 in Big West play, will travel to UC Irvine and UC Riverside for matches on Saturday and Sunday with an opportunity to clinch the No. 1 seed at the Big West Conference Tennis Tournament next week in Indian Wells.
On Saturday, Cal Poly will take on UC Irvine with a 6-15 overall record, but post a 3-1 mark in conference play and has won the last two tournament championships.
On Sunday the Mustangs will play at UC Riverside who enter play with a 6-15 overall record and 0-3 mark in Big West play.
The Mustangs, ranked 58th this week, are led by junior Andre Dome, ranked 34th in the latest ITA Tennis poll.
Dome and teammate Matt Fawcett are ranked 54th this week in doubles.
Cal Poly is looking for its third regular season Big West Conference Championship.
