Amy Barber enters her third season as the assistant coach and her eighth season overall with the Cal Poly women's tennis program after serving as the volunteer assistant coach the five previous seasons.
Amy graduated from Cal Poly with a degree in Kinesiology. She played on the No. 2 nationally ranked Women’s Tennis team in Division II earning an NCAA All-American status while being ranked No. 4 in doubles. Her most cherished honor was receiving the NCAA Arthur Ashe Sportsman of the Year Award. This honor far exceeds all others in her opinion because it epitomizes everything she tries to convey to her students: work endlessly hard, treat everyone with dignity and respect, and honor your competition by playing with integrity.
