Ricardo Vazquez is in his second year as a volunteer assistant with the Cal Poly women’s soccer program during the 2022 season.
Vazquez arrived at Alex G. Spanos Stadium after serving as an assistant coach with the Santa Barbara City College women’s and men’s programs.
The founder and CEO of Fútbol Training – a company that helps develop players with private individual and small group training sessions – Vazquez played three seasons for The Master’s University (2012-14) after transferring from Santa Barbara City College. A defender, Vazquez was a 2011 All-Golden State Athletic Conference first team selection at Santa Barbara City College while helping the program to a California Community College Athletic Association state tournament appearance.
Vazquez resides in nearby Guadalupe, Calif., with his wife, Saraí, and son, Luka. Vazquez holds a masters degree in human behavior and a bachelors in kinesiology with an emphasis in teaching and coaching.
