Prep -- As a senior with Vista Murrieta High School, took 42nd place at the 2018 CIF State Division 1 Cross Country Championship, with a 5k time of 18:48.6 at Woodward Park in Fresno; her top time at the course — 18:32.6 — took 37th at the state finals meet in 2016 ... advanced to the State Cross Country Championship all four years as a Bronco ... added an effort of 18:57.9 at the Nike Cross Nationals, earning 118th overall at Glendoveer Golf Course in Portland, Ore. ... top 3-mile performance — 17:52.0 — took ninth place at the Southwestern League Finals in 2018 at Galway Downs in Temecula ... in track season, posted an 800-meter PR of 2:13.16, No. 2 in school history while tallying ninth at the 2019 Southern Section Masters Meet, after clocking a third-place 2:13.79 at the section’s Division 1 Finals ... also trained with Temecula Valley Time Machine Club ... 1,600m PR of 5:04.50 won the ASICS Laguna Beach Trophy Invitational crown ... was a team captain ... also was a Junior Honor Guard student and Principal’s Award recipient every year, while winning a Department of Chemistry Award, along with eight Scholar-Athlete accolades ... also participated in Senate, Circle of Friends club and Varsity Council club.
Personal -- Majors in BioChemistry ... each of her parents, Karen (at UCLA) & Coley (Cal Poly) were collegiate track & field/cross country competitors as well: Karen won back-to-back Pac-10 cross country championships in 1993-94, along with a regional title in 1993 en route to All-America honors both seasons, in addition to claiming the 1994 NCAA national title for the 3,000m; meanwhile Coley also earned All-American status in 1993 and 1994 for the 1,500m, in addition to an individual conference cross country title in the fall of 1994 ... also visited Oregon State, Portland and Southern Oregon; chose Cal Poly in part due to “the team, location and weather, academic and athletic opportunity and learn-by-doing” ... aspires to become a forensic toxicologist.
