Prep -- As a senior at Rancho Bernardo High School in San Diego, finished ninth in the long jump at the State Championships Meet, with a mark of 22 feet, 7.5 inches (his PR came in the prelims, at 22-11) ... other season-bests included 43-4 in the triple and 6-1 in the high jump ... also played football and lacrosse for the Broncos.
