2016-17 -- Cross Country: While redshirting, competed at two meets unattached ... made debut at the Stanford Invitational on Oct. 1, running the 6k in 23:13.8 (taking 78th place) ... also finished 10th at the Cal Poly Invitational hosted at Fairbanks Memorial Course in San Luis Obispo on Oct. 15, with a 5k time of 20:16.7.
Prep -- As a senior at Paso Robles High School, finished 52nd overall at the 2015 CIF State Cross Country Championships, finishing the 5k course at Woodward Park in Fresno with a time of 18 minutes, 8.4 seconds ... was a three-time state meet qualifier in cross country, including once with her team ... in track, finished second in the 1,600 meters at the 2016 Southern Section Division 3 Championships, in a school-record time of 5:02.09 ... won Pac-8 League and San Luis Obispo County titles in 2016 for both the 800m (with a PR of 2:16) and 1,600m on the way to being named the Bearcats’ all-sports Athlete of the Year, as well as the Outstanding Performer at the Elks-sponsored county meet at Cuesta College ... with coach Ivan Huff (a three-time All-American distance runner for the Mustangs from 1979-81 before qualifying for the U.S. Olympic Trials in the steeplechase in 1984, 1988 and 1992), she earned first-team all-league accolades every year of her varsity career, as well as a combined seven Team MVP awards between cross country and track ... was a High Honor Roll student all four years, graduating in the top eight percent of her class, and volunteered for the Paso Robles Harvest Marathon, Kayla Peach Foundation and Salvation Army ... “always wanted to go to Cal Poly because of the great academic reputation and running program.”
