Mustangs Open 2026-27 Season Sunday at Canadian Collegiate

FOOT’S BAY, Ontario – Freshman Vidur Subramaniam debuted for the Cal Poly men’s golf program with the team’s low round during Sunday’s opening 18 holes at Kent State’s Canadian Collegiate as the Mustangs began the 2026-27 season at the 7,071-yard, par-71 Öviinbyrd GC.
An offseason transfer from Washington, Subramaniam carded a pair of birdies, but finished with a 75 and sits 35th on the leaderboard heading into Monday morning’s second round.
Rafael Bobo-Lloret (above), the 2026 Big West Freshman of the Year honoree, produced an eagle on the 534-yard, par-five fourth hole, but was beset by a handful of double bogeys and finished with a 78.
Freshman Leo McDonough and senior Jack Jarvis sit a spot behind in 63rd after both recorded a pair of birdies. Freshman Frederick Egnatios rounded off Cal Poly’s roster with an opening 80.
As a program, Cal Poly sits 13th overall. Second-round action at the Canadian Collegiate gets underway Monday at 3:30 a.m. PT.
