
Cal Poly Wraps Regular Season with 16th Place Finish in Texas

WESTLAKE, Texas — Cal Poly Women's Golf wrapped up the 2026 Huntington Bank Collegiate and its 2026 regular season on Tuesday, finishing in 16th place in an incredibly strong 17-team field.
The Mustangs posted a three-round team total of 904 (+40), carding rounds of 299 (+11), 304 (+16), and 301 (+13). The tournament was dominated by nationally-ranked competition, with No. 27 Oklahoma State taking the team title at 25-under par.
Sophomore Nicole Koong was the top finisher for the Mustangs once again, tying for 50th place individually. Koong finished the 54-hole event at 6-over par (222) on rounds of 73, 77, and 72.
Sara Torres had a rollercoaster tourney, finishing tied for 56th at 7-over par (223). Torres opened with a solid 74 (+2) and followed it up with an impressive 71 (-1) in the second round, moving her up the leaderboard. She closed with a 78 (+6) on the final day.
Rounding out the Cal Poly scoring, Sarah Yoo finished tied for 78th at 14-over par (230) with rounds of 75, 80, and 75, while both Maddy Saysanasongkham and Alex Flier finished tied for 83rd at 19-over par. Saysanasongkham carded rounds of 77, 80, and 78, and Flier posted scores of 83, 76, and 76.
With the regular season all wrapped up, the Mustangs will gladly take the next 12 days to rest and prepare for the Big West Women’s Golf Championship at Kaanapali Resort in Maui, Hawai’i (April 19-21).
