
Kuszyk and Bobo-Lloret Lead Cal Poly Thursday at The Goodwin

STANFORD – Sophomore Nolan Kuszyk and freshman Rafael Bobo-Lloret (above) paced the Cal Poly men’s golf program during Thursday’s opening round of Stanford’s The Goodwin with the pair carding two-over 72s.
At the par-70, 6,742-yard Stanford Golf Course, Kuszyk produced four birdies as part of his two-over 72 while Bobo-Lloret finished with two. Following the opening 18 holes, the duo sit tied for 73rd on the 160-player leaderboard.
Graduate student Kyle Dougherty and junior Jack Jarvis share 104th after four-over 74s with each player enjoying a Thursday birdie. Junior Leo Metzger, meanwhile, totaled an opening-round 80.
As a team, Cal Poly is 26th overall with a 12-over 292. Just eight of the participating 30 programs finished under par during the opening day.
Second round action at The Goodwin gets underway Friday, March 27 at 7 a.m.
