
Mustangs Finish Second-Round Action Friday at The Goodwin

STANFORD – Freshman Rafael Bobo-Lloret produced the low round for the Cal Poly men’s golf program during second-day action at Stanford’s The Goodwin, but the Mustangs slipped one spot down the leaderboard Friday afternoon.
At the par-70, 6,742-yard Stanford Golf Course, Bobo-Lloret carded two birdies as part of a two-over 72, but fell five positions to 77th with a two-round, two-over 144.
Sophomore Nolan Kuszyk (above) enjoyed three birdies Friday, but finished with a five-over 75 and dropped to 107th in the 160-player field with a two-round, seven-over 147.
Junior Jack Jarivs dropped 24 spots to 126th with his five-over 75 Friday. Jarvis owns a two-round, nine-over 149. Graduate student Kyle Dougherty finished with a six-over 76 Friday and resides in 133rd place with a two-round, 10-over 150. Junior Leo Metzger, meanwhile, registered three birdies Friday, but posted a 12-over 82.
As a team, Cal Poly dropped one spot to 26th with a collective 18-over Friday and two-round, 30-over 590. Only six programs in the 30-team field remain under par entering Saturday’s final round and 7 a.m. start time.
