
Bobo-Lloret Leads Cal Poly on Final Day of Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate

PALM DESERT – Freshman Rafael Bobo-Lloret closed as the Cal Poly men’s golf program’s top finisher for a second straight tournament, completing the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate in 17th place with a three-round, three-under 213 (71-70-72).
At the 7,305-yard, par-72 Classic Club, Bobo-Lloret fired an even-par 72 Wednesday that included three birdies. Freshman Zihao Wang, meanwhile, was a shot behind in 25th with a two-under 214 (70-71-73) with five birdies during Wednesday’s final round.
Junior Jack Jarvis was Cal Poly’s biggest mover Wednesday, jumping 19 spots with a final-round 71 that featured six birdies as part of a three-round, two-over 218 (70-77-71) for a share of 46th.
Graduate student Kyle Dougherty was 58th with a four-220 (71-74-75) while sophomore Nolan Kuszyk posted a seven-over 223 (75-74-74). Junior Louis Pilod rounded off Cal Poly’s roster with an 11-over 227 (78-73-76).
As a program, Cal Poly finished 13th in the 23-team field with a collective six-over 870 (287-291-292).
Cal Poly resumes play at San Diego’s March 9-10 R.E.L. Invitational.
