
Inskeep, Connor Named to AVCA National Player of the Year Watchlist

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Two Cal Poly beach volleyball athletes, junior Erin Inskeep and redshirt senior Ella Connor, have both been named to the AVCA National Player of the Year Award watchlist.
Inskeep and Connor were named to the AVCA’s first ever National Player of the Year Award watchlist. The watchlist is put together by the AVCA National Collegiate Beach Volleyball Awards Committee.
Inskeep is a two time AVCA All-American. Last season, she finished with a 28-7 record while playing at the No. 1 spot in the lineup. She was named First Team AVCA All-American and First Team All-Big West.
Connor has also been a two time AVCA All-American in her career. Last season, she was 22-8 after primarily playing at the No. 4 spot in the lineup. She earned All-Big West honors last season for the third time in her career.
Cal Poly was one of six schools to have two players represented on the 17 player watchlist. Nine total schools were represented on the list.
Inskeep, Connor and the rest of the Mustangs open the 2026 season Friday at the Third Coast College Classic in Houston. They start the season with matches against Saint Mary’s and Houston Christian Friday.
