
Pilod Paces Mustangs during Final Round at The Wohali

COALVILLE, Utah – Louis Pilod finished as the Cal Poly men’s golf program’s low scorer during Tuesday’s final round at Utah’s The Wohali as the junior chalked up five birdies for a two-under 69.
At the 7,873-yard, par-71 Wohali Golf Club, Pilod’s 69 contributed to a three-round, seven-over 220 (70-81-69) and a share of 33rd place on the leaderboard.
Cal Poly’s leader entering the final round, sophomore Nolan Kuszyk carded three birdies, but finished with a 74 Tuesday and in 39th with a three-round, nine-over 222 (76-72-74).
Junior Jack Jarvis collected two birdies Tuesday for a final-round 77 and a three-round, 16-over 229 (72-80-77) for 58th place. Junior Leo Metzger was a shot behind with a 230 (75-79-76) while graduate student Kyle Dougherty produced four birdies for his best round of the tournament – a two-over 73 – and a three-round 232 (80-79-73).
As a team, Cal Poly finished its opening tournament of the year in 12th place with a three-round 895.
The Mustangs return to action Oct. 5-7 at SMU’s Trinity Forest Collegiate in Dallas.
