Fredrick and Bullis Earn Big West Weekly Awards

IRVINE, Calif. — The Big West announced Monday that outside hitter Emma Fredrick and setter Emme Bullis earned weekly conference honors for their roles in the team's undefeated tournament run last weekend.
Fredrick was named Big West Offensive Player of the Week after a dominant performance. She is currently on a streak of four straight double-digit kill efforts and recorded a double-double (12 kills and 13 digs, tying her career high) in Sunday's sweep over San Jose State.
The junior outside hitter totaled 38 kills, averaging 4.22 per set, across three straight-set wins. She also led the team with 27 digs in those matches and now ranks sixth in the Big West for points. Fredrick last earned a Big West weekly honor as Freshman of the Week in 2023.
Bullis, a Big West Preseason Coaches' Team honoree, earned her ninth career Setter of the Week award and her tenth weekly honor overall. After several weeks of splitting time in the rotation, Bullis exploded for 109 total assists, averaging 12.11 per set.
The squad's most tenured member and de facto captain was instrumental in Cal Poly's .366 hitting percentage last week, recording 30 or more assists in each of the three sweeps. Bullis also posted her fourth and fifth double-doubles of the season against Cal (32 assists, 10 digs) and San Jose State (44 assists, 11 digs).
Cal Poly returns home this weekend for the SLO Classic, where the Mustangs will host Saint Mary's, Utah, and Cal Baptist. All matches will be streamed on ESPN+.
