
Final Round 69 Nets Jalufka Sixth Place Finish at Causeway Invitational

SACRAMENTO — Cal Poly women's golf redshirt senior Jensen Jalufka had an incredible final round Tuesday at the Causeway Invitational, shooting three under to climb 15 spots up the leaderboard and finish tied for sixth place.
Playing at the par 72 Del Paso Country Club in Sacramento, Jalufka shot even par followed by two over par in the first two rounds Monday which put in her tied for 21st going into the final round Tuesday.
Jalufka then came out of the gates Tuesday with a bogey free front nine as she collected two birdies. She got two more birdies on the back nine while bogeying just the final hole to finish three under for the day and one under for the tournament.
As a team, Cal Poly finished tied for seventh place out of 12 teams at 24 over par.
Sophomore Sarah Yoo placed tied for 26th at five over par after she shot rounds of even par, four over, and one over. Freshman Nicole Koong finished tied for 41st at nine over par after rounds of three over, one over, and five over.
Oregon State won the event at 11 under par, two shots ahead of Sacramento State who finished nine under par.
The Mustangs will head to New Orleans next for the Tulane Classic which takes place March 9-11 at English Turn Golf & Country Club.
