Four Cal Poly Women’s Golfers Named WGCA Scholar-Athletes

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. — Cal Poly women's golfers continue to achieve highly both on and off the course as four student-athletes were named Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar-Athletes for their strong work in classroom.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. To be selected a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, be an amateur on the team's roster at the conclusion of the season and have participated in 50 percent of the team's rounds during the season.
For the Mustangs, Sarah Yoo, Kaylee Sakoda, Jensen Jalufka, and Kamille Dimayuga all were named Scholar Athletes. Cal Poly's four honorees were the most they've had earn this award in the program's history.
Cal Poly women's golf continuously excels in the classroom as this spring quarter they once again had the highest GPA in the Athletic Department with a 3.70, marking the fifth straight quarter they have had the highest GPA amongst Cal Poly teams.
