
Cal Poly Sees Five Women’s Golfers Earn All-Big West Honors

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Following a strong season by the Cal Poly women's golf team, the Mustangs were rewarded with five players who earned All-Big West honors the conference announced Tuesday.
Redshirt junior Jensen Jalufka was named First Team All-Big West. Junior Kamille Dimayuga and graduate Kaylee Sakoda both earned Second Team All-Big West. Senior Nicole Neale and freshman Sarah Yoo both were named Honorable Mention All-Big West.
Jalufka had an exceptional season, setting the program record for lowest season score average at 72.7. She had six top-15 finishes throughout the year, including a second-place finish at the Big West Championship last week.
She had 10 rounds of par or better, including a career-low score of 68 at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic. This is the third straight year she has earned All-Conference praise.
Sakoda, a transfer from Quinnipiac, had a season scoring average of 74. She had nine rounds of even par or lower and had two top 10 finishes, including being tied for fifth at last week's Big West Championship.
Dimayuga earned second team honors after finishing the year with a 74.4 scoring average. She had four top-20 finishes this year and had eight rounds at or below par, including a career-low 67. This is her third consecutive All-Big West accolade after being named honorable mention the last two years.
Neale earned honorable mention accolades in her final season with the Mustangs after finishing with a 74.8 scoring average. She had three top-20 finishes throughout the season, including placing tied for 12th at the Big West Championship. She had a career-low round of 67 back in October which was one of her eight rounds at or over par.
For her career, Neale earned All-Big West honors three times, including twice being named First Team.
Also receiving honorable mention honors was the freshman Yoo who had a very strong first season in San Luis Obispo. She had a 75.1 scoring average for the season, five rounds at or under par, and two rounds of shooting 68. She finished the season strong with a second-place finish and a seventh-place finish in the final two regular season events.
Cal Poly took second at last week's Big West Championship which was one of five tournaments they were in the top three of.
