
Cal Poly Second, Four Players Finish Top 20 at Tulane Classic

NEW ORLEANS – It was a great three-day showing by the Cal Poly women's golf team at the Tulane Classic in New Orleans as the Mustangs climbed to a second-place finish as a team while four players placed in the top 18, including three in the top 11.Jensen Jalufka and Kaylee Sakoda both finished tied for sixth at three over par. Kamille Dimayuga placed tied for 11th at six over par.
Sakoda jumped up after starting the final round tied for 18th while Jalufka rose up from tied for 11th heading into the final round. Nicole Neale finished tied for 18th at seven over par.
Up next for the Mustangs is the Fresno State Classic March 25-26 at Copper River Country Club.
As a team, Cal Poly shot a +19 883 as a team in the three-round event at English Turn Golf & Country Club. The Mustangs, who were in third heading into Tuesday's final round, shot a tournament-best 288 final round to climb up into second and finish just one shot back of first place Colorado State.
