Cal Poly Track & Field Releases 2024 Outdoor Schedule

FULL SCHEDULE
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Featuring the Mustangs hosting the Big West Championships for the first time in program history, the Cal Poly track and field team announced its full 2024 outdoor schedule Monday.
The Mustangs open their outdoor campaign March 6-8 at the UC Santa Barbara Invitational. On March 22-23, the team will host its only regular season home meet at the Miller & Capriotti Athletics Complex — the second annual Mark Conover Classic.
Cal Poly will split the squad for the first time on March 29-30, sending athletes to compete in the prestigious Stanford Invitational and the Mike Fanelli Track Classic hosted by San Francisco State. The Mustangs' top throwers will descend upon La Jolla on April 5-6 to take part in the Triton Invitational hosted by UC San Diego.
Next up on the schedule is trips to Azusa Pacific for the Bryan Clay Invitational on April 11-13 and Long Beach for the Beach Invitational on April 12-13. The historic Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif. are scheduled for April 17-20.
The Mustangs wrap regular season action on April 26-27, splitting the team for the final time to participate in the one-day Payton Jordan Invitational hosted by Stanford and the Fresno State Invitational.
Cal Poly will host the multi-event portion of the Big West Track & Field Championships on May 3-4 at the Miller & Capriotti Athletics Complex, followed by the full conference meet on May 10-11. Tickets for the Big West Championship are already on sale and can be purchased here. At last year's conference meet hosted by Cal State Fullerton, the Mustang women placed second as a team and the men captured third.
The NCAA West Preliminaries are scheduled to be held May 22-25 at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Last year, eight Mustangs qualified for the West Prelims.
The University of Oregon will host the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on June 5-8 at Hayward Field in Eugene.
