MEN'S 3-METER FINAL RESULTS
WOMEN'S 1-METER B FINAL RESULTS
MISSION VIEJO, Calif. — Freshman Madden Saini captured a fourth-place finish in the men's 3-meter dive to highlight action for Cal Poly swimming and diving during the third day of the MPSF Diving Championships on Tuesday at the Marguerite Aquatics Complex.
Saini posted a score of 293.70 in the final to earn fourth — the second highest individual finish by a diver on the men's side at the MPSF Championships since the Cal Poly men's program joined the conference in 2014-15. On Monday, fellow freshman Justin Dolezal secured the highest finish in program history by a Cal Poly men's diver at the MPSF Championships when he took third in the 1-meter.
Dolezal qualified for the final in the 3-meter Tuesday and grabbed eighth in the event. The San Luis Obispo native owns the second-best score in school history in the 1-meter (338.48) and the fifth best in the 3-meter (321.45).
On the women's side, senior Briana Medvecki and freshman Shayna Gayer both made it to the B-final in the 1-meter. Medvecki captured second in the B-final and 10th overall (233.85), while Gayer placed 12th overall (225.25) out of 26 divers. On Monday, Gayer took ninth in the women's 3-meter dive — the highest finish by a Mustang in the event since 2018.
Cal Poly wraps up the MPSF Diving Championships on Wednesday with platform diving. Action starts at 11 a.m. and Dolezal, Gayer, Medvecki and Saini are all set to compete. You can follow the live results here and a livestream of the meet is available on Overnght with the purchase of a subscription.
