SAN LUIS OBISPO – Cal Poly men’s basketball supporters will receive their first look at first-year head coach Mike DeGeorge’s 2024-25 Mustangs Friday afternoon as the program hosts Division III Caltech for a 12 noon exhibition on Friday, Oct. 25.
Returning two starters and six letterwinners from last season and welcoming seven transfers during the offseason, Cal Poly officially opened preparations for the 2024-25 season on Sept. 23.

Following Friday’s preview, Cal Poly begins its 31st Division I season and 81st year as a four-year program at San Francisco on Tuesday, Nov. 5. The season-opening road trip concludes at California on Thursday, Nov. 7.
Friday’s exhibition marks the first of 15 home games for Cal Poly. The Mustangs host NAIA Menlo College on Sunday, Nov. 10 for their 2024-25 regular season opener.
