SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — The Cal Poly swimming and diving program is back at the Anderson Aquatic Center this Friday and Saturday for a pair of home meets.
First up, the Mustang women's team takes on San Diego State in a dual at noon Friday. Then on Saturday at 10 a.m., the Cal Poly men's team will join the action as the two squads battle the Aztecs and Fresno Pacific in a meet consisting of relays only. SDSU only has a women's team, while the Sunbirds have both a men's and women's team.
Cal Poly last faced San Diego State and Fresno Pacific during the 2021-22 season. The Mustang men and women both earned decisive victories over the Sunbirds in a dual on Oct. 10, 2021, while the Cal Poly women suffered a hard-fought 150-135 defeat at SDSU on Dec. 20 that year.
The Mustangs are fresh off hosting their annual Queen and King of the Pool pentathlon against national powerhouse Cal last Friday. Junior Summer Cheng captured the 'Queen of the Pool' title for the Mustangs, while senior Sean Keegan (pictured above) took home 'King of the Pool' honors.
Following this week's action, Cal Poly will remain at home to host a dual at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, against Blue-Green rival UC Santa Barbara.
