NACOGDOCHES, Texas — Tommi Stockham and Lizzy Markovska both notched double-doubles to help lead the Cal Poly volleyball team to a come-from-behind five-set victory over Southern Mississippi Friday at the Stephen F. Austin Tournament, 3-2 (25-19, 23-25, 21-25, 25-23, 15-11).
Stockham recorded a season-high 18 kills to go along with 11 digs and a pair of aces. Markovska matched her career-high with 17 kills in addition to 10 digs, and four aces.
As a team the Mustangs (3-2) were lethal from behind the service line, finishing with 15 aces, six coming from redshirt sophomore setter Emme Bullis who had a career-high six, the most by a Cal Poly player since Maia Dvoracek tied the program record with eight back in 2019.
