SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- Cal Poly junior Nicole Neale has been selected to the All-Big West Conference women's golf first team for the second time.
Honored in 2021, Neale is the second Mustang to earn multiple all-conference first-team honors. Caroline Cantlay accomplished the same feat in 2019 and 2022.
Neale, from Dove Canyon, Calif., and a Tesoso High School graduate, averaged 73.9 strokes over 25 rounds during the regular season with four top-10 finishes and eight rounds of par or better, including three rounds in the 60s.
Neale finished in a tie for fourth place in the 2023 Big West Conference Championship last week at the Spanish Trail Country Club in Las Vegas and also earned a pair of eighth-place finishes and one ninth this season.
Mustang teammate Jensen Jalufka landed on the all-Big West second team. An honorable mention a year ago, the junior compiled a 74.4 scoring average with three top-10 finishes and six rounds of par or better, including a pair of 69s in a fifth-place finish at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic.
Earning honorable mention praise for the second year in a row is sophomore Kamille Dimayuga with a 74.0 scoring average, three top-10 finishes and seven rounds of par or better, including a 67 and a 68.
Cal Poly captured its third consecutive Big West team championship last week and will learn Wednesday at 10 a.m. on The Golf Channel where the Mustangs will compete in the NCAA Regionals on May 8-10.
