FINAL RESULTS
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- A round of 72 by Joey Zambri highlighted the final round of play for the Cal Poly men's golf team in The Goodwin hosted by Stanford at Harding Park on Saturday.
Zambri carded a pair of birdies and four bogeys with 12 pars for his 72 and a 54-hole six-over-par 216 total and a tie for 60th place on the 6,939-yard par-70 course.
Baron Szeto recorded a 79 for a 219 total and 88th place while Jackson Parrish (75) and Austin Liu (77) finished with 223 totals and 124th place. Ben Quick finished with a 79 for a 224 total and 136th place.
Competing as an individual, Sean Lehman tallied a final-round 74 for a 229 total and 149th place.
Cal Poly posted a four-person 303 total in the final round for a 33-over-par 873 aggregate and 26th place. There were 28 teams and 155 golfers in the field.
Oklahoma claimed the team title with an 18-under-par 822 total, six shots ahead of Georgia Tech. Stanford was 11 more strokes behind, finishing third.
Individual winner was Ben Lorenz of Oklahoma with a final-round 67 for a nine-under-par 201 total and a two-shot margin of victory over Christo Lamprecht of Georgia Tech. Bob Peng of Washngton was third at 204.
Cal Poly will compete in the El Macero Classic hosted by UC Davis on April 14-16 at the El Macero Golf Club in Sacramento.
