FIRST-DAY RESULTS
EUGENE, Oregon -- With all 83 golfers still on the course at sunset, the second round of the Oregon Duck Invitational was suspended due to weather and darkness Monday at the Eugene Country Club.
The Cal Poly men's golf team is ninth in the 14-team field with its five golfers needing to finish two to three holes in the second round.
Ben Quick, who carded an eagle on the 525-yard par-5 13th hole, is tied for 16th place with two holes to play. After opening with a 76, Quick carded three birdies and three bogeys along with his eagle in the second round and is at three over par.
Joey Zambri and Austin Liu are tied for 39th place at seven over par. Zambri, who opened with a 72, has three holes to play and Liu, who was 12th after his opening-round 72, will finish the last two holes of his second round at 8:15 a.m., followed by the final round. Liu suffered an eight on the 145-yard, par-3 fifth hole in the second round.
Jackson Parrish posted a 73 in the first round and is eight over par with three holes remaining in his second round, tied for 49th place, while Sean Lehman opened with an 83 and is tied for 83rd place at 12 over par with two holes remaining.
Oregon led the field at two under par when play was suspended, five shots ahead of Colorado State. Oregon State is third at six over par.
Individual leader is Max Schliesing of UTEP with a 70 in the opening round and three under par in his second round. Schliesing is two strokes ahead of Nate Stember of Oregon with three other golfers sharing third at even par.
Cal Poly posted a four-person 293 in the first round.
