SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- Solo home runs by Tanner Sagouspe and Wyatt King plus a three-run double off the bat of Joe Yorke powered the 2023 Cal Poly baseball team to a 6-0 shutout in the annual Alumni baseball game on Saturday afternoon inside Baggett Stadium.
Yorke broke up a scoreless duel with a bases-clearing double down the right-field line in the third inning.
Sagouspe homered to left-center field in the seventh and King added his blast to left field in the eighth.
Cal Poly's other run came courtesy of an RBI single to right field off the bat of Kemet Brown in the fifth frame.
