
Dvoracek Signs to Play Professionally in Hungary; Has 33 Kills in Debut

BUDAPEST, Hungary ¬¬– After graduating in December following a stellar collegiate career for the Cal Poly volleyball program, Maia Dvoracek signed a professional contract with MAV Elore in Hungary and has already made her presence felt there.
In her professional debut earlier this week, Dvoracek burst onto the scene after finishing with 33 kills, a block, and an ace. Her team fell in five sets to Szent Benedek in the Hungarian league.
Dvoracek had a decorated Cal Poly career her final two seasons after not seeing the court much her first two years. She was a two-time First Team All-Big West honoree, an eight time Big West Player of the Week honoree, a Third Team AVCA All-American, just the seventh in program history, holds the program's single season ace record, ranks fifth in program history in career aces, second in career aces per set, and shares the program record for most aces in a match.
She was also part of two Big West title teams and three teams that went to the NCAA Tournament, winning two matches there.
