Cal Poly Women’s Basketball Hosting Alumni Gathering Oct. 1

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — In anticipation of the 2022-23 season, Cal Poly women's basketball coach Shanele Stires and the rest of her coaching staff are hosting an alumni event on campus during homecoming Saturday, Oct. 1.
The event will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. before the Cal Poly football game against Sacramento State on the third floor of the Vista Grande Dining Complex. All former Cal Poly women's basketball players are invited to attend.
"Our alumni are the ones who laid the foundation for this program," head coach Shanele Stires said. "We want them to know they always will be a part of the program and this event will be a great way for all of them to come together and bond over what we all share a passion for, Cal Poly women's basketball."
This will be a chance for former players to reconnect with old teammates, fellow alums, and meet the new coaching staff. Food and drinks will be provided. Four tickets per attendee for the football game that day against Sacramento State will also be provided.
Anyone interested in attending should RSVP by Monday, September 26 by emailing assistant coach Njeri Nelms at nelms@calpoly.edu.
