Cal Poly Beats Harvard 10-1 in First Game of Saturday Doubleheader

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- Brett Borgogno belted a grand slam and Brooks Lee produced his first four-hit game as a Mustang as Cal Poly defeated Harvard 10-1 in the opening game of a doubleheader Saturday inside Baggett Stadium.
Borgogno's blast, his second as a Mustang, broke open a 1-0 contest in the fourth inning and Cal Poly added a run in the sixth and two more in the eighth.
Lee singled twice, doubled once and hit a solo home run, his third of the season, driving in three runs on the day for Cal Poly and lifting his iaverage to .473.
Travis Weston (1-0) earned his first decision of the year, allowing one run and 10 hits over seven innings with one walk and five strikeouts. Zach Button tossed two scoreless frames in relief.
Second game of the doubleheader will begin at 4:25 p.m.
