
Seybold Leads the Way at Winter Junior Nationals

AUSTIN, Texas — Highlighted by freshman Alex Seybold posting three personal bests, four Cal Poly swimmers wrapped up competition at the 2022 Speedo West Winter Junior Championships on Saturday at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swim Center.
Freshmen Nicky Glenn, Alex Power and Trevor Yargeau were the other three Mustangs that competed at Junior Nationals.
Seybold swam personal bests in the 200-yard breaststroke, 200 individual medley and 400 IM, and a season best in the 100 breast.
Power recorded PRs in the 100 breast, 200 breast and 200 IM, while Yargeau earned a personal best in the 200 breast. Glenn swam season bests in his two events.
The full Cal Poly swimming and diving team will be back in action next weekend to participate in the UNLV Invitational on Dec. 17-19 in Las Vegas.
