RESULTS
CORVALLIS, Oregon -- The Cal Poly men's golf team is tied for 11th place late in the uncompleted second round of the Oregon State Invitational on Monday at Trysting Tree Golf Club.
Coach Phil Rowe's Mustangs share 11th place with Pacific at 25 over par on the 7,384-yard, par-71 course.
Washington leads at 16 under par, followed by Boise State and Utah. Only 16 of the 84 players completed the second round, suspended by darkness, with the others having one to four holes to finish. The second round will be completed Tuesday morning followed by a shotgun start for the final round at about 8:45 a.m.
Individually, RJ Manke of Washington leads at seven under par with three holes to play, followed by Hugo Townsend of Boise State at six under with three holes remaining and Skyler Eubank of Boise State at five under with two holes left to play.
All five Mustang golfers need to finish two holes before moving on to the final round.
Freshman Drew Kim, playing in his first collegiate tournament, tops all Cal Poly scorers late in the second round at two over par, tied for 25th place with six other golfers. Kim carded a 73 in the opening round and is even par through 16 holes of his second round.
Baron Szeto, another Mustang freshman, is tied for 43rd place at six over par. He recorded a 77 in the opening round and also is even par through 16 holes of his second round.
Joey Zambri and Parker Mapes share 65th place with two other golfers at 11 over par while Austin Liu is tied for 79th place at 13 over par. Zambri shot an opening-round 79, Mapes a 77 and Liu 76.
Kim is fifth in par-4 scoring at two under par and his eight birdies through 34 holes is tied for sixth place.
