SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — The Cal Poly volleyball program and the athletic department announced Wednesday that three high school recruits have signed National Letters of Intent to continue their athletic and academic careers at Cal Poly beginning in the fall of 2021.
The signees include a libero/defensive specialist (Peyton Dueck, Aptos, Calif., Aptos HS), outside hitter (Olivia Keller, Modesto, Calif., Joseph A. Gregori HS), and a middle blocker (Kirra Kellerman, Redwood City, Calif., Saint Francis HS).
More about the signees:
Peyton Dueck
Libero/Defensive Specialist
Aptos, Calif.
A three-year varsity player at Aptos High School in northern California, Dueck has signed to play both indoor and beach volleyball at Cal Poly. During her career at Aptos High School, she averaged 3.5 digs per set as a libero/defensive specialist while also playing some outside hitter. She helped lead her team to league championships in 2018 and 2019, as well as a state championship in 2019. She also has family ties to Cal Poly, as both of Dueck's parents are Mustang alums.
Coach Walters comment: "Peyton is an explosive, energetic libero that will bring an intense passion to our program. Her defensive tenacity will allow her to compete immediately, strengthening our ball control immensely."

Olivia Keller
Outside Hitter
Modesto, Calif.
A varsity player since her freshman year, Keller has been a two-time MaxPreps Underclass All-American, as well as being named an all-league, all-conference, all-city, and team MVP while she split time at Beyer High School her freshmen and sophomore years and Gregori High School her junior and senior years. The 6-foot-1 outside hitter was part of two league championship teams and helped Gregori High School reach the second round of the state championship tournament in school history.
Keller, who was an academic scholar athlete throughout high school, said she chose Cal Poly because of the location, coaching staff, and team culture.
Coach Walters comment: "Olivia hits a heavy ball and is an extremely adept ball control player, allowing her to be a true six rotation outside hitter. Her calm, collected style of play reminds me of Adlee Van Winden and we are thrilled to have her join our program this spring after she graduates early from high school."

Kirra Kellerman
Middle Blocker
Redwood City, Calif.
A varsity player at St. Francis High School in Mountain View, Calif. since her sophomore year, Kellerman earned First Team All-State honors and was a two-time all-league selection throughout her career. The 6-foot-2 middle blocker led her team in blocks as a sophomore and kills her junior season.
Kellerman, who also played for Encore Volleyball Club for eight years, said she chose to sign with Cal Poly because of the location, academics, and her love of the atmosphere of the team, coaches, and school.
Coach Walters comment: "Kirra brings an extremely unique versatility to our gym that will greatly benefit our program for the years to come. She is able to play on both the outside as well as in the middle which will increase our offensive variability and provide continued depth at both positions."
